  Andrey was a pleasure to learn from. He made us feel comfortable, was patient and worked hard to make sure we were confident going into our first dance. He was encouraging and made the process fun. We’re so grateful for the confidence and memories. Highly recommend!

  I cannot recommend this place enough. I started coming here in December as someone who wanted to finally overcome their embarrassingly low level of dance skills, and I left with so much more than technique. I have found so much joy that I didn’t know I had for dancing, and I’ve met some of the nicest and supportive people at this studio. As someone who grew up only dancing ballet, a toxic studio environment is something you know to look out for, and that simply does not exist at Arlington Ballroom. I reached out in search of a private lesson on a whim, and immediately heard back from Dmitri, the owner, who was so wonderful in getting me set up for my very first lesson. My lesson was with Andrey, who actually just deserves a review of his own. You can tell when someone truly loves and cares about what they do, and that is Andrey. I’ve now had many private and group lessons with him, and I don’t think he possesses the ability to make you feel bad about yourself. You’re met with encouragement from him - for the things you’re doing well and also the encouragement to keep making mistakes. Andrey, you’re an absolutely wonderful teacher and dancer, and you’re such an inspiration to me - thank you, and I can’t wait to continue working with you (: I’ve also gotten to work with a few of the other teachers there, and it’s so wonderful to be able to experience the different styles of teaching and learn something new from them. Shoutout Jen for the group classes, Michelle for some extra salsa training, and Alena also for private lessons! The last thing I’ll say here is once again how wonderful management is. Dmitri has clearly worked so hard at cultivating an environment for people of all skill levels to find a place at Arlington Ballroom. Between group classes, private lessons, competitions, and events, there truly is so much opportunity to explore. He has created a place that is inviting and exciting, and I’m so impressed with the company he has made.

  I’ve been taking bachata classes here for over a year now. I’d been to other dance studios before. Jen’s classes are top notch. She teaches with structure and at pace that balances fun and technicality. Her classes and teachings made me a much better and more confident social dancer. Highly recommend!

  We had several private lessons with Michelle to prepare for our first dance! Michelle was so easy to learn from and was super receptive to what we wanted and didn't want (e.g., lifts). She crafted something that felt like us and we were able to do from start to finish on our wedding day. Highly recommend!

  We purchased a pack of five dance lessons to prepare for our first dance at our wedding, and we had an awesome experience! The instructor was very creative and took our skill level (which was not particularly high) into account as she helped us shape a routine to our first dance song. It turned out great thanks to her, and we highly recommend Arlington Ballroom!

  We took 5 lessons with Andrey for our July wedding and are so happy we did! Neither of us had any prior dance experience and Andrey helped us learn basic moves, choreograph our entire 1.5 minute long first dance, and polish it so we didn’t look awkward. He was great at choosing moves we could handle at our skill level that still looked impressive, and we had enough confidence to adapt and keep going even when the DJ accidentally played the wrong version of the song - no one had a clue it wasn’t exactly what we’d been practicing to! Definitely recommend!
